THE SCHOOL:
A family of well-established schools based in Taiwan’s Taichung County is searching for an additional foreign teacher. We currently employ several foreign teachers and over 100 Taiwanese teachers. Within our group of schools we have 4 kindergartens and 3 cram schools (buxibans).
THE LOCATION:
Our schools are based in and around the historic and religious town of Dajia, just outside Taichung City. Dajia, home to the Matzu festival (one of the world’s largest!), is a vibrant, small town renowned for its street food. Its central location on the island and impressive network of public transport allows for easy access to Taichung and Taipei. It is a short drive from both the mountain area and the coast.
THE POSITION:
We are seeking someone to fill a vacancy starting at the start of August, although the exact date is negotiable. We are searching for talented and energetic people that are comfortable and confident around young learners. The position comes with a number of duties including approximately 21 hours of classroom instruction per week, lesson planning and grading. This is an exciting position with a set curriculum and materials provided. However, individual style is encouraged. Our foreign teachers are not for show, we expect them to share the responsibility of educating our students with their Taiwanese partners.
REMUNERATION:
As compensation for your work, you will be given a very competitive salary, furnished accommodation waiting for you when you arrive, ARC, an end of contract bonus, health insurance coverage (80% paid for by employer), and a consistent schedule. There is plenty of potential to make significant savings and have an outstanding quality of life.
REQUIREMENTS:
As far as minimum requirements, all candidates must be Native English speakers and also possess an accredited university degree. Candidates must hold a valid passport from Canada, the U.S.A, the U.K, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa.
