Overview
Hello, I’m Kyle and my friend in Number 6 high school/middle school needs a teacher as soon as possible. She has asked me to help her because I have had more luck with finding teachers then her and I have experience hiring teachers. She has also asked me to also interview the teachers to make sure when I send them over to her they understand the job and I can explain everything upfront to the teachers.
She said she is only looking for native speakers, (I am sorry, I don’t make the rules and I wish everyone luck).
Zhengzhou is the capital of Henan and is a fun, great city to live in. The city has everything, food, shopping and a great night life if needed. Zhengzhou is the train hub of China so it is easy to leave and get back into the city using China’s train system. It is a very busy city, as busy as Beijing or Shanghai with lots of people. The school is located downtown very close to the famous David’s plaza which has everything you could want for shopping and an international supermarket. Zhengzhou is honestly one of my most favorite places to live.
The school itself is huge with many students. If hired you will be teaching in their international section which means all your students will have a great command of English. My friend and her co-workers are extremely nice and welcoming and will help new/experienced teachers who want to come work for them. The class sizes range to about 35-50 and you only work half days. Example if you work morning you don’t work in afternoon, work afternoon you don’t work morning.
Below is the contract details and requirements.
School’s Contract
Salary: 13,000RMB per month
If you can also teach math and science your pay will raise to 14,000
Accident and medical insurance provided
20 Hours a week
In the 20hours there will be office hours because students need to have access to you, so you can help them with homework.
2 days off a week. (Saturday and Sunday)
12 months paid
2 weeks paid holiday for Chinese New Year
2 weeks paid holiday for Summer.
Offers work visa
8000RMB bonus at end of contract.
Pay raise for renewal of contract. (200RMB per year)
Housing is not provided but a 1000RMB extra is added to your pay per month for rent. The school will also help you find an apartment close by.
Requirements:
Must have a BA or higher.
Must have a clean criminal record
Must have a valid passport
Must be able to relocate to China for at least a year
Must want to teach young teenagers English
Must be professional in class and with students.
Must be able to do a Skype interview and or over the phone.
