The name of our school is Global Kids English School and we opened our doors 16 years ago. We are a private English school with an English daycare, Chinese daycare and Buxiban departments. We have grown tremendously and currently have around 750 students and 16 foreign teachers.

Our school is located in Xizhi District, which is in New Taipei City, Taiwan, at the base of beautiful mountains full of waterfalls and hiking trails, a short train ride to the ocean, but also less than 20 minutes from Taipei Main Station in the city center. There are two TRA train stations in Xizhi and there are many buses that pass through, which makes traveling around the island convenient and low cost.

We have a homeroom teacher position available. The work week is Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. There are around 22 students in each class. Children are divided into age groups. You’ll be assisted by 1 or 2 co-teachers, who are qualified teachers. We provide training, a curriculum, and encourage creativity. You will also get one Buxiban class, for which you'll be paid extra per hour. Your work permit will be registered in the Buxiban department.

Teachers are paid a basic salary of NT$60,000 per month. The salary increases yearly, as well as an annual continuation of contract bonus. You will receive 7 days paid and 14 days unpaid vacation each year.

We structured our salaries and bonuses in such a way as to motivate our good teachers to continue working at our school, which they do. For example, the continuation of contract bonus after 5 years is NT$100,000.

The school offers free accommodation in the form of a shared apartment with 1 or 2 of the other teachers at school. The furnished apartment is 5-10 minutes walking distance from the school.
