Yangzhou Global IELTS (under the Global Education umbrella run by educational powerhouse Pearson Group) is seeking fun, dynamic ESL teachers for our 3 schools in Yangzhou - an Ancient city in the heart of Jiangsu province, on the banks of the Yangtze River and within easy reach of Shanghai and Nanjing.

Working as part of the Foreign Teacher department you will provide hour-long classes to students - usually between the ages of 6-25. Active and enthusiastic teachers will also be selected to teach younger kids in a number of curriculum based classes.

Normal week includes 25 hours of teaching and 10 office/lesson prep hours. Classes can range from clothing vocab to breaking down song lyrics to discussing and tasting wine to making and baking cakes! Our school encourages creativity from our teachers to ensure your working experience can be as enjoyable as the students' learning experience.

With a focus on conversational English, your main role will be to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere where students will feel comfortable practising their English.

Position Requirements

Three must-haves: 1.      A University Degree (BA/BSc) from the UK, Ireland, the USA, Canada, New Zealand or Australia, due to visa restrictions; 2.      2 years of work experience (education related) OR CELTA/TEFL/TESOL Certificate (120 hours minimum); 3.      A clean criminal background.
