Kensington English School has been established for 30 years, and is one of the first Language Schools in Gifu. Some students go on from here to study in the UK, or come back to us from studying overseas. DETAILS OF POSITION:
Teaching children/adults. Ratio being 30%/70% approx. All students require English conversation, as opposed to academic English, although we do have some IELTS classes, and specific business English classes. Classes are very small with private classes and groups of 2-4 students per class.
Our students ages are from 4-80 years old.
The position is available from beginning August 2018.
This position is suitable for someone who can work on their own, with a member of our Japanese staff. Kakamigahara has excellent rail connections to Nagoya. An ideal position for those who really want to enjoy Japanese culture..

QUALIFICATIONS:
A NATIVE level speaker of English only need apply. Please note that we do teach British English, this is just for reference.
Currently residing in Japan is preferable but not essential.
BA/BS degree required in any major - Tefl/Tesol/Celta also required.
2 years teaching experience is preferable, and experience with both
children and adults is essential.
Applicants will need to be smartly dressed, dynamic in class, have the ability to be able to work in a group or to work on their own. To be flexible, understanding and patient are key points for this position.
An ability to make/produce original material is essential. We would like to view samples of previous materials made during an on-line interview. A sense of humour and flexibility is vital..

SALARY and BENEFITS:
The monthly starting salary will start from 250,000yen.
You will be required to work a maximum of 25 teaching hours per week, based over a "one month" period. All teachers are required to work a five-day week.
One class is usually 50 minutes, but some classes are 30 and 40 minutes.
We offer 5 weeks paid holiday, and these days will be determined by the school to coincide with the Kensington School schedule.
Kensington English School will locate and arrange accommodation for the applicant. The furnished apartment includes,air-conditioning,fridge,washing machine,and TV etc. The rent is 60,000yen per month.
