1.English Language Center Director
The International Campus of Zhejiang University invites applications for the Director of English Language Center (ELC). The successful candidate should have a PhD in linguistics, applied linguistics, literature, or a closely-related field, demonstrable expertise in teaching at the university level, evidence of leadership skills and research excellence/potential in relevant fields. Responsibilities include management of the ELC, curriculum development and delivery of English courses to undergraduate students at the International Campus. Retired faculty members are also welcome.
Responsibilities
• Management of ELC and ensuring teaching excellence and smooth daily operation of the center
• Making development plans for ELC, including teacher development plan
• Teaching English courses, esp. courses in English for (General) Academic Purposes
• Helping with ELC teacher and staff recruitment and evaluation
• Facilitating communication between ELC and the International Campus
• Fulfilling other tasks assigned by the International Campus

2.ESL/EFL Teacher
Job Description
• Position: Full-time academic English instructor at Language Center
• Teach English to the best undergraduate students in China
• Location: Haining, Zhejiang Province
• Term: 1-2 years, August 2018 to June 2019/2020 (for two-year contract)
• Workload: 40 hours/week, including 16-18 lecture hours/week
Responsibilities
• Teaching integrated English classes training four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing
• Teaching academic writing courses
• Teaching a variety of classes including literature, creative writing, intercultural communication, newspaper reading, debate, art, etc.
• Organizing events, activities and workshops to create an encouraging language learning environment and enhance students' motivation in learning English
Qualification
• Master's degree or above with TESOL or TEFL certificate (or equivalent certificate)
• Native English speaker from USA, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand
• At least three years’ experience of English language teaching at university level (TESOL or Academic English Program preferred)
