Overview
BRITANNIA Language School is an English teaching center located in Riobamba, Ecuador. We belong to a network of more than 2700 international Cambridge exam preparation centers worldwide. We use Cambridge methodology to help our students reach a high level of English proficiency in a relatively short time (2-3 years). Improved English language skills mean more academic and job opportunities for our students. Our students are assessed using the Common European Framework.

Riobamba, known as ‘The Sultan of the Andes,’ is a wonderful place to live and work. Riobamba is located near the equator and is surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains, such as El Altar (5.319 m high) and Tungurahua (5.023 m), an active volcano. Chimborazo (6310m), the closest point to the sun on Earth and the highest mountain in Ecuador, looms over the city. We enjoy a unique climate and temperature typical of the Ecuadorian Highlands (14 degrees celcius, on average.) Riobamba offers the perfect blend of tradition and modern convenience. With beautiful parks, wonderful restaurants, an active nightlife, traditional markets and modern shopping centers, it really is the best of both worlds. English teachers must be willing to work with learners of all ages and skill levels. We offer relatively small, manageable class sizes (maximum 12 students per class.) Our classrooms are equipped with cutting-edge technology that allows you to optimize your effort and make your classes as effective as possible (projectors, computers, internet). Teachers are required to have a four-year degree from an accredited university. CELTA-certified teachers preferred.
Working time: 6 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Salary: $6 dollars per hour, Monday to Friday and $8.00 per hour on Saturday.
