Primary School Teachers Wanted - Wuhan, Hubei

Are you interested in teaching Primary School students in Hubei’s busy capital city, Wuhan? Would you like to embark upon a rich, challenging, and totally engaging job opportunity? Wuchang Experimental Primary School might be the job for you! We are one of the top primary schools in Wuhan, and we have been employing foreign English teachers for over a decade. We have over forty foreign teachers, many of whom have been working for us for three, five, or even ten years. At our school you will have many chances to be creative, work closely with Chinese and international co-workers, and make a genuine difference in the lives of the children you teach.

Our school has four branches that employ foreign teachers.

**Main Branch** 
Main branch is our school’s flagship branch. It is in the center of Wuchang, within walking distance of many attractions, such as the Yellow Crane Tower and Hubu snack street. The Main Branch has a small and close-knit foreign staff, of less than five foreign teachers at any given time. Teachers at the Main Branch teach older students, in grades five and six.

Position: foreign English teacher.

**Jiulongjing ** 
Jiulongjing is the newest branch of our school. It’s extremely fresh and modern. It's located in the center of Wuchang, very close to the Yellow Crane Tower. It has a small but growing foreign staff, and cooperation between Chinese and foreign English teachers is strongly emphasized. Jiulongjing currently has students in grades 1-4.

Position: foreign English teacher

**Meiling** 
The Meiling Branch School is located near Xudong, a busy part of Wuchang, with many restaurants and shopping malls. It's also just a fifteen minute taxi ride from the Hankou riverfront. Meiling has many foreign staff members. It offers both foreign teacher classes, and a thriving international program.

Positions: foreign English teachers, international program teachers, special subject teachers (such as PE or computer lab)

**Nanhu** 
The Nanhu Branch School is conveniently located in a busy part of Wuchang, with many restaurants and shopping malls. Nanhu has many foreign staff members. It offers both foreign teacher classes, and a thriving international program.

Positions: foreign English teachers, international program teachers, special subject teachers (such as PE or computer lab)

Responsibilities (for foreign English teachers): 
-Teaching four classes daily, at forty minutes per class. 
-Planning and preparing lessons ahead of time. 
-Writing monthly English tests, and administering a semesterly spoken English exam. 
-Marking the students’ homework. 
-Close cooperation with a local co-teacher. 
-Attending monthly professional development meetings.

Responsibilities (for international teachers): 
-Teaching all subjects (English, Math, Science, Art and so on) to one class of students. 
-Teaching additional English classes 
-Planning and preparing lessons ahead of time. 
-Writing and administering tests. 
-Marking the students’ homework. 
-Close cooperation with a local co-teacher for English classes, and independent teaching for other subject classes. 
-Attending monthly professional development meetings.

Benefits: 
-All working hours take place during a normal school day, so you won't have to work nights or weekends. 
-Three to five weeks of vacation time for Chinese New Year, plus two days off for Christmas, and time off for all Chinese national holidays. All of the above mentioned vacation time is fully paid. 
A starting salary of 10,000 yuan per month, plus a monthly housing allowance, and yearly salary raises. 
-A bonus equal to one month’s salary at the end of ten working months. 
-Fully reimbursed roundtrip flight tickets to and from your country of origin. 
-Free lunch and breakfast in the school cafeteria on weekdays 
-Airport pick-up and arrival assistance for new teachers. 
-The chance to really get to know your students. At our school you will be teaching the same students every day, and many teachers who stay at our school for multiple years move through the grades with their classes. Some teachers have even taught their students from grade one, all the way through to grade six.

Requirements:

1) Native English speakers with passports from the following countries: 
USA, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa. 
2) Bachelor Degree or higher in any field. 
3) TEFL certificate. 
4) Pass background check/degree authentication procedures. 
5) A great attitude and a strong work ethic.
